Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Elizabeth Homan, MD, MPH

Dr. Homan has a BS in Microbiology, with minors in Global Health Studies and in Spanish from University of Iowa, a MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, a MPH from the University of Iowa, completed her three years of General Psychiatry Internship and Residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and her two year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  She is Board Certified in General Psychiatry, and Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  She was awarded Outstanding Resident of the Year by AACAP, and an APA SAMHSA Fellow.  In Northern Minnesota she pioneered the creation of a Multidisciplinary Autism Evaluation Clinic.  Her passion is supporting patients on their journey to decrease suffering, and learn to adapt and soar into their futures.

In her free time Dr. Homan enjoys riding bikes with her family, and dedicates time to mental health advocacy and improving health disparities as a member of the Latino Medical Student Association National Advisory Council, and a national committee member for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
